Teres Medical Group enters Sweden

Pressemelding, 08.02.2010

Teres Medical Group, Scandinavia’s leading private surgical group, has entered Sweden via its acquisition of the plastic surgery clinic Plastikkirurggruppen (PKG).

PKG, located at the Sabbatsberg Hospital in Stockholm, is active within aesthetic as well as reconstructive plastic surgery. On the reconstructive side, PKG has frame agreements with the Stockholm county council and also receives patients from other regions of Sweden.

“We believe that PKG is an optimal entry point for Teres Medical Group in Sweden. The acquisition of PKG, with its high-standard competences in one of Teres’ core surgical areas, will also facilitate Teres’ continued expansion in Sweden” says Thomas Broe Andersen Partner at FSN Capital.

Ever since Teres Medical Group’s inception with the merger of five clinics in September 2007, the group has exhibited strong growth. PKG is Teres Medical Group’s 11th clinic, and its first outside of Norway.

Teres Medical Group is primarily active within orthopaedic and cosmetic surgery but also has competencies within neurosurgery (back surgery), ENT surgery and general surgery. The group is owned by FSN Capital II LP together with surgeons and the management team.

In connection with the acquisition, Teres Medical Group was advised by: KPMG (financial, tax) and Advokatfirman Törngren Magnell (legal). Debt was provided by DnB NOR.
